This is a another short post that I made for Life Book 2018 which is hosted by Tamara Laporte! This is for week 12, and the instructor for this project was Sharon Harkness-Dobler. She is a very talented mixed media artist and I’m so happy that she is a member  of the Life Book 2018 Team. I learned so much from her in completing this piece. Sharon has a unique way of creating art and the way in which she views it as she goes along.  Since this is a part of Life Book, I can’t go into detail on how she was made but I wanted to share this beautiful angel with you.

For more information on Sharon Harkness-Dobler you can visit her blog at yellowrosedbs.blogspot.de. Also, you can visit her on Instagram at instagram.com/yellowroseart

If you’re interested, you can find out more about more about Life Book 2018, on Willowing.org. I’m very impressed with all the wonderful artists that are a part of this team and I’m looking forward to learning new techniques!

Thanks for stopping by! Hope you enjoy!!

I moving along slowly but surely. This is the latest journal pages I finished for the third lesson in She Blooms in Ink with Tamara Laporte at Willowing.org. This was a total side profile which was tough, but she came out fairly descent. Love the bright spring colors on this one. As always, I had lots and lots of fund creating her!

As with my last post, I can’t go into great detail on how she was made but I used my   large 11″ x 14″ Strathmore Watercolor Journal. My quote for this one was “Reflect what you Desire.” I hope you’ll join me as I continue on my Journaling Adventure! I’m also working on a Valentine’s Day painting in between my two online classes. I’m hoping to get it done in the next few days. So stay tuned!

Thanks for stopping by! Hope you enjoy!!

Dedication Journal Page

I’m so excited to be a part of Life Book 2018 hosted by Tamara Laporte! This is my first time joining a group of this size or even length of time for that matter. The way it works is basically you create a page of art every week and at the end of the year, you bind your work into a book.  There are over 30 artists, crafters and healers who join in teaching this year long course.

I got in at the beginning but unfortunately came down with the flu right after the holidays so between this class and She Blooms in Ink, I’m a bit behind. But that’s okay because you can complete the courses at your own pace.

For more information on Tamara Laporte visit her blog at Willowing.org. This is direct link to Life Book 2018 so you can get more information on this wonderful course!

Any way, this is the first journal page I’ve created and I had such a blast with it. I learned new tips and techniques that I look forward to using on my future art projects! The music notes are copies of sheet music from my father when he studied music in college. It’s something that I love weaving into my creations.

I can’t wait to start the next lesson and hopefully, I’ll catch up, lol….

Thanks for stopping by! Hope you enjoy!!

I finally completed the second lesson in She Blooms in Ink with Tamara Laporte at Willowing.org. Doing a girl looking off to the side was a bit harder than I initially thought. It took me a lot longer to finish her, but it was lots of fun!

The colors never seem to come out the way I want even though I have a color chart I created. But they really do pop! This online class is so much fun and I am very much looking forward to the next lesson.

As with my last post, I can’t go into great detail on how she was made but I used my   large 11″ x 14″ Strathmore Watercolor Journal. My quote for this one was “Believe in the Magic.” I hope you’ll join me next week as I continue on my Journaling Adventure!

Thanks for stopping by! Hope you enjoy!!

Courage Journal Pages

Not sure if you had a chance to read my last post, Great Journey Journal Pages where I shared art created with the help of Tamara Laporte, a very talented mixed media artist at Willowing.org.

I have since enrolled in her new online course, She Blooms in Ink. I couldn’t wait for it go live December 1st. I created this beautiful girl in her class using a Strathmore Watercolor Journal measuring 11″ x 14″ which is the biggest I’ve done yet. My girls are usually on a 9″ x 12″ single page spread. This one was even larger and a double page spread to boot. It was a pretty intimidating looking at this large area I had to cover. But once I got started, I couldn’t stop. My quote for this one was “Courage. Be brave, follow your  ♥, live your dream.”

As with my last post, I can’t go into detail with how she was created but I can say without a doubt, this is an awesome course!!! I’m really loving it and can’t wait for the next project to be posted this week.

I highly, highly recommend you check out her blog and this course using the links above.

Thanks for stopping by! Hope you enjoy!!

Some of you may know Tamara Laporte. She is a very talented mixed media artist over at Willowing.org. Tamara is known for her popular Life Book online courses. She also has a very nice offer. If you join her email list, she will give you access to an online class to create this beautiful girl in your journal.

Tamara has so much to offer and I had lots of fun learning new techniques and creating this lovely girl in my 8.5″ x 11″ Art Journal.
