For this Project you will need:
For this piece I thought I would do something a little different and use a technique called masking. I cut out two hearts out from yellow post-it notes and adhered them to my page. I traced the outline of the hearts with the Micron No. 03 pen.
From there I began filling in the entire page with Zentangle designs. I used the Micron No. 8 pen for most of the design. But for some of the smaller areas I used the Micron No. 03 and 05 pens.
The plan was that once the design was finished I would just color in the hearts with the Kimberly Watercolor Pencils. But then while I was looking at it for a few, and my color fever took over. I thought wow! Wouldn’t the leaves look great in green, and how about the flowers with pink and purple. Oh, and this in blue…. and well you can see where this was going…. Before I knew it I colored the entire design with the Kimberly Watercolor pencils and used the Niji Waterbrush to activate the colors.
I really liked how it looked, but for some reason it still wasn’t enough. So I got a little Stickles crazy and highlighted the entire design with different color Stickles. This wasn’t at all what I had planned to do, but I loved the end result. I let the Stickles dry and Voila!! I had a unique Zentangle Art piece that was just lots of fun to create and just makes you smile!!
Thanks for looking and have lots of fun creating your own Zentangle designs!
